Nothing can ever happen twice. In consequence, the sorry fact is that we arrive here improvised and leave without the chance to practice. - Wislawa Szymborska
Dear Roleplayer,
so, you are a hot shot mage who tosses about fireballs in front of civilians, some radiation will cool you down.
You are not a high ranking member in Camarilla society and you walk into the Prince's domain acting like you are the big man on campus, guess what? you will have a list of jobs to do, ranging from cleaning toilets all the way to a suicidal mission, or perhaps instant execution, dependant on the severity of the act.
Your character broke the masquerade? Guess what? you have hunters on your tail and Masquerade enforcers hunting you down to enact final death.
Every action has a reaction, no matter if it is ill or good intent. No one is immune from Consequence.
How does it work?
The chances of breaking the Masquerade and not getting away with it are slim to none. The chances oif sleeping around and not contracting an STD or falling pregnant are slim to none. Mages using blatent magick in a public place and not being caught are low.
Fair few players actually never think about the Consequence of their actions. You wouldn't get away with an action of negative value and we strive to make the roleplay here realistic.
Mages have what is known as 'Paradox' in relation to their magick, the name is irrelevant, but the end game remains the same. All characters who take part in an act that has consequence will recieve a PM from one of the Admins noting what the consequence for that action is. No one is immune from it and the Consequence must be obeyed. Please be aware that any Consequence handed out is not of a personal vendetta or OOC views, they are just merely the result of your characters action.
Here is a sample message a player might recieve:
As a player, you have the right respond on your character's behalf. If a Valid case is produced, then the Consequence may be lifted. But if the evidence and case is poor, the Consequence will remaina nd you will have no choice but to obey.
This applies to Paradox for Mages - particularly those who choose to ignore it or act as if it doesn't exist or simply aren't sure which form of Paradox would be right for the situation. Garou can recieve battle scars from heavy injury too.
For instances pertaining to a paradox or a battle scene, the Consequence would be instantaneous. For actions regarding promiscuity and general retarded actions, these consequences might not arise for a while after the action has occurred.
Important Note: If your character breaches a supernatural's Holy Ground or Elysium, You are giving the owner of said ground permission to do very nasty things to your character (if you are alone and have the intent on just being silly, your character will suffer)
Be aware, this is not to restrict you in any sense, it is in place to make the play style realistic. It can add drama and depth to your character. Conseqeunce is not a tool to be used to punish a character, it is merely there to state what the drawbacks to your character's actions are. Consequence isn't always a negative thing and can actually be a good thing in some instances.
Not every action will be looked over, just those that are repeated or noteable. If you wish to talk about this in further detail, please contact one of the members of staff.
*Note ~ All consequences will be handed out by one of the admins and only the admins.

Dear John/Jane Doe
Due to several encounters of the sexual nature with out using contraception, your character now is two weeks pregnant.
Note to player: The Consequence Must be roleplayed out in either one thread or how ever long it takes for the situation to be resolved.
