The drive to Ithaca was long and dull, Allan had tried to strike a conversation with the Lupine named Duncan at several times but they never got anywhere. He would ask trivial things and Duncan if he felt like talking would make short and concrete replies. It was a funny situation, A vampire and a Werewolf in the same car. neither at each others throat, at least for now. Allan the vampire was in this situation after his formal introduction with the prince had gone sour, he was to investigate a so called ''slasher'' a murderer that apparently wasn't a regular maniac, his companion for this assignment was a lupine named Duncan who was as likely to grant him a final death as he was to help the kindred.
A old folk song could be heard in the vehicle as it drove past the ''Welcome to Ithaca'' sign post, the journey had lasted long enough and Allan was hungry and his beast was steering, he could probably do another night without the sweet vitae and blood of a kine before the beast would take a more active roll in his mind, but it was better if he just restrain his urges while in the company of a werewolf, less he suffers death or loose of limbs at the very least.
the Van was already in town when Allan parked the vehicle and relaxed in his chair while looking at Duncan ''So what now? where do we start our search? he asked casually ''Should we start in the most recent crime scene, see if we catch something? he said again now looking at the dark town

Duncan had remained silent during the majority of the trip, he had nothing to say and was quite frankly annoyed by this 'quest' that he felt necassery to undertake. So, he kept tohimself and only answered directly to Allan as the trip went on. Eventually the unlikely duo arrived in Ithaca, it was mostly populated by garou but not really owned by them, but kindred society pretty much left them alone as they wished to not start some sort of war.
"You should stick by me like your unlife depended on it, because there are wolves out here who are not as welcoming as i.." Duncan announced as the van came to a standstill.. "We should check the crime scene, see if i can pick anything up scent wise." Duncan opened the van door and closed it softly as he exited the vehicle, he straightened his duster jacket and cracked his neck, something would probably happen soon enough and he needed to be ready.

''understood great wolf'' Allan said to Duncan he had taken the liberty to call the werewolf by that nickname, he had a tendencies to give people nicknames, sometimes out of respect and other times as a private mockery.
as Duncan got off, Allan went to the back of his Van where is collection was piled together, he looked between his thing till he spotted his favored weapon and one of his most precious possession a replica of a roman legionnaire sword. A gladius made to kill shape shifters and his fellow kindred also Allan took from his pile of clothing a big leather Jacket where he could hide his sword.
The young Vampire step out of his old vehicle, locked the doors and said his farewells to the Van.. As he walked over to the waiting Duncan, Allan was putting on his jacket he lazily hid the blade in his coat and hoped that Duncan couldn't feel the power of the blade.
From his pocket he took a small string and tide up his hair into a little ponytail, Allan was expecting combat his hair shouldn't get in the way and cost him his life. after finishing with his hair he also drew a the article piece of newspaper with the information on the murder ''Its that way'' he said pointing southwards after looking in the street they we're in.

The alleyway wasn't the sort of place something important would be expected to happen. An afterthought built to allow access to a small parking lot at the back of an apartment complex, it led off of the relatively major Buffalo Street but clearly saw very little traffic. The buildings on either side were probably built in the sixties, each a failed attempt to look "modern". Squat, boxy constructions of dark brick, they loomed over the ten foot wide passageway below, casting long shadows in the flickering glare of poorly-maintained streetlights.
A dumpster sat near the entrance, with a stack of wooden palettes behind it; they were carefully placed right up against one of the walls to allow cars to enter the alley without hitting them. A forlorn bit of yellow plastic was stuck behind one side of the dumpster, proclaiming in faded letters, "ICE LINE DO". The remnants of white chalk could be seen where detectives had sketched the outline of the college student's body, but it had rained since they had been there, and what remained of the shape was stretched and distorted until it looked like some strange beast.
A cold wind blew through the canyon of brick, causing the little bit of police tape to flutter violently. To the trained noses of predators, the smell of death was apparent even long after the body had been removed. The smell of blood, however, was only barely present, as though the victim hadn't lost much blood in this area despite wounds that should've bled profusely. Nor was there any detectable fear, though it was hard to tell given how old the scene was. Otherwise, the police had cleaned up well; a mortal wouldn't notice anything unusual about the site at all.

There was a cold wind this night, a chill of death apparent in the air. Well, to the overly cautious they may have seen it this way. The unlikey pair walked, in silence down the streets, attempting to locate the crime scene. Duncan would lead the way by pointing in the vague general area of the direction to the scene.
After awhile, the duo actually almost walked passed the alleyway if it was not for a gust of wind that had picked up and headed for them, in that wind laid the scent of death, or atleast a faint smell of it. Duncan's nostrils flairing, he hadn't smelled this for a fair while, it was almost as if he was hunting something again. With out thought, Duncan changed course and head slowly down the alleyway.
Duncan made a gsture from Allan to follow him. A Kindred following a Garou down the alleyway? risky busisness indeed, if it were another time and place perhaps. But Duncan had a job to do and needed this lick for the time being. Duncan ran his finger over what was left of the police line tape, shortly before smelling the scent left behind on his fingers.
The wind had died down slightly, but the rain wwas setting in. Duncan noticed the start of the beast shape chalk line that had been distorted by the rain, he ran his finger along the line and smelled it, he thought for a few moments before placing his nose close to the ground to try to take in a deeper scent, if anything was left.

It was a cold night thought to Allan it didn't matter his undead body was practically immune to cold. He wandered the street not really paying attention while Duncan took the lead. The streets we're lonely and rarely a car would pass by them, eventually the Lupine smelled something and he took off towards a alleyway, he eventually signal the vampire to come, Allan thought it was a funny yet dire situation in another universe he would never fallow a werewolf into a dark alleyway.
The crime scene was barren and Allan could barely feel anything wrong or see anything, he only noticed a few remaing marks of chalk, he walked around while Duncan sniffed the area ''Looks like the police here its actually competent the vampire said in a annoyed tone ''You sense something?'' he asked, while looking opening the lid of a trash can and looking at his content. He began thinking if the Lupine nose doesn't pick anything they might have to go the police station and look for more detailed information in the databases.

Duncan remained sniffing around the scene, trying to pick something up that could give a possible clue. He basically ignored Allan's questions as he investigated, the more curious side of Duncan was in charge and he was tuning into his bestial instincts. It wasn't enough, he had to physically change, to attune to maximum effect.
Ducan growled softly as he started to morph into his hispo form, the form that most resembled a wolf, his fur was a silver, to which some might find sensually pleasing to the eye, it was a sign amongst his own people of the purity of his blood line, which was very strong in his case. The morphing process was a relatively quick procedure, but painful nonetheless, each bone basically mutating and moving, growls and howls could be heard as he turned. But it didn't actually hurt really, after awhile, the body would build a tolerance to the pain levels but when a garou experience their first morph, it is undoubtedly the most painful thing they would feel for a fair while. But as Duncan was older and high in rank, it rarely bothered him.
Duncan looked towards Allan with the eyes of the wolf, he gorwled softly and snarled at him before he went back to sniffing the crime scene and investigating the crevices and dumpsters in the alley way, it would take a fair while until he returned to where Allan was. Duncan returned to his homid form, and eventually cracked his neck and snarled to himself "far too little blood was dropped here, it's not a standard run of the mill mad man for sure and defeninatly not one of those Sabbat a****les" Duncan rubbed his chin for a moment before he started to talk again "My guess? either a demon or an over zaelous kindred..or perhaps.. something worse.. we ideally need the forensic reports and to have alook at the body..hmmmm.." Duncan remained standing still as he looked at the scene, with his arms crossed as he pondered on what it could have been.

Duncan began to moan and twist he was changing Alla knew it, he took a step back from the human turning wolf. To be sure the young vampire grabbed the hilt of his sword just in case Duncan turned on him... Allan was most certainly not a match for a werewolf but he wouldn't go down easily.
After Duncan's transformation finished he was a huge silver wolf, he was magnificent, for a fraction of a second Allan thought he was lucky not many kindred would see up close a werewolf transformation. The silver wolf growled at the vampire then it got back to its task.
Allan watched the creature fur for a while then he just sat there waiting and to eventually to go back into his human form. ''Well if Julian said to look into it, princes rarely get their info wrong and if they do they don't have long lives said the ravnos with a small impish smile. Afterwords Duncan suggested to go the police station, that werewolf was sharp thought Allan ''I was thinking the same thing wolf. Allan looked at the time he had about 5 hours to sunrise, they could do it if they work fast enough''well lets go the he waited for Duncan to lead the way while walking away from the crime scene he muttered ''God I hope its not a sabbat operation

Duncan didn't look too amused, this was getting more odd by the minute, was it something he had looked over? what was the dark pull in the back of his mind? perhaps yet another agent of the Wyrm? an agent that he had never come across before? these questions demanded answers and he usually always got the answer to the questions that he beckoned. Duncan took a moment to think on their next move. The police station, for the forensic reports? too hazardous and a high likelyhood of breaking the veil, or the masquerade as the vampires would call it. The Hospital? plausible, less likely to break the veil amd is rarely gaurded by the police.
"The Hospital, i need to see the corpse of the poor victim.." He simply said before making his way out of the alley way and down the street towards the main hospital in Ithaca.

Allan dropped to one knee and softly passed his hand where the corpse had been, he showed a small smirk amused by the fact that this ''killer'' had put him working with a Werewolf. The main scare had passed and Allan was slowly but surely going back to his normal self and began enjoying the moment.
Allan stood up and began thinking ways to infiltrate the police headquarters, but then Duncan suggested something more healthy and easier for them the hospital, and take a closer look at the victim. That was just fine for the kindred.
Duncan began walking out of the alleyway and Allan trailed after him, once at the hospital Allan came in first ''WHERE IS THE MORGUE? he used what little he knew of the discipline dominate on a nurse that was alone in the reception, she gave him the direction.

Ducan lead the way to the hospital, in a brief, efficient manner as they had no time to waste. There was little conversation as the Garou had little to say to the kindred. Duncan wasn't one to suffer fools gladly and he didn't rate kindred high in his social circle. For obvious reasons. They eventually made it to the hospital.
"Where is the morgue.." the kindred commanded to the receptionist whilst Duncan chuckled to him self leaning into the vampire to whisper in his ear "usually down stairs..". Duncan followed Allan untill they came to a stairwell and proceeded to descend into the quiet domain of the dead. Luckily there were no staff members currently in the morgue for the time being, which gave the duo time to inspect the corpse hassle free.
They were a couple of dozen freezers for them to check through, Duncan pointed to one end of the room for the vampire to check whilst Duncan started at the other end of the room checking to see which was the right corpse to examine.

Allan just smirked and shrugged Duncan comment, after the receptionist gave clear direction he led the werewolf toward basement took a right once downward and then a left, there was the door to the morgue. Allan checked his surroundings for any passer by but there was no one, he simply entered the room Duncan a few steps behind.
The room was barren with a few operation tables and the right wall filled with freezers that contained the corpses. Duncan suggested that Allan start looking from the end of the room, he made no complain and walked looking casually at the names ''McClellan....McClellan where are you hiding little corpse he said in rhythm
He looked high and low for miss. McClellan and eventually almost halfway through the room and about to bump into Duncan he spotted her name Tera McClellan here you are.. Hey Duncan found her the vampire said with his fox like smile, he slowly opened the freezer and a green body bag covered the poor victim, he grabbed the zipper and in one fluid motion uncovered the girl's corpse
