Albany. It was yet another place that Khay had yet to explore. There seemed to be quite a few kindred in Albany. Khay followed behind at a slow pace, observing. Camarilla. That was her conclusion. They were too careful to be anarchs and not openly sadistic enough to be Sabbat. She could be wrong, but Khay considered her guess to be valid. Her stormy blue eyes scanned every creature, testing them for intrigue.
It seemed there were many kindred gathered around a particular bar. The little vampire, holding the hand of her mommy-ghoul’s hand, gazed up at the sign. The Asp Hole. It was the center of activity. But Khay had the outward appearance of a seven year old. She looked like a little angel with her small periwinkle dress and the matching bow that held her brunette hair.
How could the little vampire ever hope to get inside of a bar? She sighed and stared moodily at the entrance. It did not matter that she was sixty-five. There were some things in life Khay could never attain. She was trapped in a child’s body and a child she would remain. “Let’s go,” she murmured softly to her ghoul. The woman smiled and nodded. Just like always. Next time, Khay needed to find a mommy with more personality.

Vasco had tired of running the club, he was tired of the music that played, it lacked flair, thought and reason, he was quite down about the state of music that people prefered these days. Too much reliance ona beat and barely dressed women and not so much on talent. But to keep getting the money in for himself and the camarilla, he would need to play what was popular and to be honest, he was perfectly fine with it as he has his own world of music that he oh so often took part in. This night was the same as any other, the staff were well used to Vasco and his odd ways, he would go up to the roof of his club with a cd player and some speakers and play to his hearts content until he was ready to put up with the music in his club. Vasco took his trustee electric violin with him. After gather himself and taking in his surroundings, he pressed play. the song in question was 'Feeling good' a cover of the cover from muse, as it were, no singing. ( The song in question). Vasco moved to the edge of the roof of his club, he could see a young girl who clearly wasn't as she visually claimed to be, but he continued playing on the edge, not missing a key or tone as he looked down on the young lady.

Why waste her time staring at a place she could never enter? Khay let out a sigh; an odd thing for one with no breath. Just as the little girl turned to leave, a sound caught her ear. It was different than the music coming from the bar. Beautiful and passionate. Khay sharpened her hearing and followed the noise up, up, up. Onto the roof. There was a man playing on an electric violin.
Khay was enraptured. Music! She had to play! Without taking her eyes away from him, her little hand reached into the folds of her dress and withdrew a harmonica. It was not her favorite instrument, but it was the easiest to carry around. Khay listened to the song, gauging the key and the rhythm. After a few moments, she had the sound in her ear. Khay lifted the harmonica to her mouth and began to accompany him.
It was like she was under a spell. Khay was completely hypnotized by the music that flowed over, around, and through her. It lit her up like a wildfire. The voices, the music from the bar, nothing mattered. Nothing penetrated her little bubble of beauty. She had to play. She had to join in. Khay’s eyes glittered with the love and passion she felt for the music. This song was beautiful.

Vasco continued to play his song, almost entranced by it himself. These two kindred could probably be attacked and dealt the final death and not even realise it, such is the curse of the Toreador, but thankfully, this was not to happen. Vasco smiled softly as the girl joined in with her instrument.
As Vasco delt the emotion in the song, the rhythem and skilled, all that effort into one piece showed his dedication. He got so into it that a a tear, a tear of blood trickled from his right eye as he played, for he hadn't met a toreador for a fair while. Not many in Albany who would share in his music and show the appreciation it so rightly deserved.
A few minutes had passed, the end of the song had come and Vasco stood as if he were in ecstacey. He looked back down to the new comer and nod slightly in her direction "Thank you..." he smiled before he handed her a formal invitation "Please, would you come in?" he spoke softly a she gestured to the door. "The bouncers will not bother you.. they will show you to my office" Vasco bowed elegently before making his way back to the door on the roof and heading to his office.

Such beautiful music. Such wonderful ecstasy. Such perfect harmony. Such elegant passion. Khay could have continued forever. But every song had an ending. That was something that Khay both loved and hated about her passion. Every good story came complete with a good ending. Music was the same. But she never wanted to stop playing! Khay felt filled with, oddly, life.
Just like that it was over. Khay felt happy, serene, and joyful. She looked up at the man with a brilliant smile plastered to her face. When he invited her into the bar, she blinked in surprise. Her? Go into the bar? Khay looked around, but the man was no idiot. This was a place for kindred. She was earning funny looks, but not that disapproving kind from kine. They were the curious looks of kindred unused to children vampires.
Okay then. Khay took her very first steps towards a bar. How exciting! 65 years old and she had never been into a bar! The little vampire approached the bouncers and greeted them happily. A few moments later, she was standing outside of that man’s office door. Glancing back, she murmured a polite thank you before knocking on the door before her. A slight apprehension nuzzled her stomach, but mostly she was just curious.

Vasco had quickly made his way back to his office, it wasn't anything overly glamorous, if anything it would probably resemble more of a Brujah office. But he spent little time in his office as it was and only really had enough money to keep the club decor beautiful and up to date. There were a few stacks of paper on his desk and file cabinets dotted about, if anything it reminded him of his days when he was a policeman, nostalgia is rife with in a toreador and especially the ventrue!
"Come, come.." Vasco raised his voice slightly so the new comer could hear his voice over the music as she knocked on the door. "Please, take a seat." he gestured to one of the chairs as the young looking kindred entered the room.. "you shouldn't wander these streets alone, there is a sabbat pack not so far away and they loath toreadors.. undoubtedly malkavian antitribu.." he shook his head "Fancy a drink, my dear?"

“Come, come…”
She did not hesitate, nor did she rush. Khay calmly entered the office and took the offered seat. She made no move to hide the curiosity and interest from her gaze. Who was he? What did he want? Her mind was swirling with thoughts, questions, and ideas even as she listened to him speak. It had been a while since Khay was in the company of another Toreador (what else could he be?).
“Yes, thank you,” she said politely when he offered the drink. Khay was still a little wary of strangers and had no special fondness for her own clan after dealing with her sire. However, she was not given to paranoia. A discreet sniff of the drink using her heightened senses and a quick analysis of the flavor was all she required before relaxing.
As for his other comment…Well. “When one is alone, one has very little choice other than to wander alone,” she mentioned, “But I am not without protection.” Khay left the last part purposely vague. Although she was inclined to like this man, she had no real reason to trust him yet. Khay had liked her sire as well and look how that turned out.

"But where are my manners? i do apologise my dear.. I am Vasco Vidicci and this club is the only thing of relative beauty in this semi war torn place." He smiled as he introduced himself, his expression fading as he continued on with his speech. "The Sabbat..ergh... The Sabbat, especially the Malkavian packs are..ergh...an unsavoury bunch, usually destroying thigns of great beauty and using their twisted mentality to rather annoy myself and our fellow Toreadors.. But i am just one kindred.. i wouldn't stand a chance against the entire pack.." He shook his head, as if he had enough of the Sabbat raiders that would terrorise the local area now and again "I can only defend my club... All the bouncers are ghouls..out of necessity.." Vasco hadn't really had much kindred company in a fair while, he had a few things on his chest.
"I would ask for backup or a cotorie.. but i do not have enough standing with the Prince to be making such demands.." Vasco shook his head as he took a sip from his drink. "i apologise my dear.. just the plight of this constant battle with those hethans outside make me ponder my own existance..thankfully, my music keeps me relatively sane..." Vasco cheered up somewhat "So, what brings you to this city?" He leant back in his chair awaiting a response.

Vasco Vidicci. That name was fun to say. He sure could talk a lot! That was not a bad thing. Khay enjoyed listening to people talk. Even if they talked about sad things. She felt empathy for him. She also felt a bit of apprehension. She was, after all, pretty much in the same boat as him, was she not? Even worse. She was new in town and had yet to know the territory and the crowd.
“Please make no apologies to me, Mr. Vidicci. I sympathize with your plight.” Had he said war torn? Khay had yet to see the signs, but that meant little. The vampire had not been in New York very long. “My name is Khayriyya Aglaia, but please call me Khay if that suits you better. I have come to New York because I have seen the rest of the country and I felt like settling down for a bit. I have a fondness for musicals, so I thought what better place to call home than the home of Broadway?”
Khay smiled at the man as a spark of passion glimmered in her eyes. Oh how she would have loved to work in the pit band for a Broadway musical! But that would never happen now. Her talent could never be truly noticed by the kine. Khay was a creature of darkness, and that was where her talent would have to thrive. In darkness.

Bryant had just arrived to Albany after one heck of a previous night meeting the Prince Sheriff and being betrayed by his ''comrade'' he was grumpy, he had been forced to hide in an apartment basement feeding from the janitor. When the night fell again he wasted no time and make his way to Albany.
He had arrived to the town and was a bit worried about his pack.. He didn't knew what became of them, did they managed to escape the cops? Did they encounter Camarilla in the way? He wasn't sure and he wanted to find out.
He wandered around town trying to figure where was the Malkavian hideout, in the distance he heard a music being played.. it was a sweet melody, the Sabbat priest enjoyed the song, he had always liked the sound of the violin.. It reminded him of the time his squad had capture a village and his platoon found a violin and began playing it during the night, the violinist died the day later... Bryant scoffed at the memory and began walking in the direction of the music closing his third eye as he walked.
The salubri eventually found some sort of bar, the music had already died by the time he had arrived. he drew a long breath and walked to wards the door, the bouncer a tall bulky man stood in his way. ''Peace whelp I seek no fight this night'' he said giving a threating look at the ghoul who stepped to the side letting him pass.
Inside the bar was relatively empty only a couple of truck drivers, about four ghouls guards and two vampires who where talking among themself. he began reading the room and could sense at least two more kindred nearby.
He sat in the counter looking at the TV but not caring what was on, Bryant had nothing else to do, he would wait for one of the kindreds to leave and so he could question it about the area.
