The night was young and Cassidy was trying out a newer hobby he was hoping to pick up: People Watching. Standing on the corner, he seemed out of the loop of the city for 2 reasons: He was wearing a rather nice suit that looked like it was the style in the 50's, and everyone on the street was avoiding him. He had already figured out that others could feel something wrong with him, and just took note that other kindred he had seen didn't get the same response. He didn't have to make the note of people avoiding him either, he just looked at all the other signs he could.
Middle aged woman, waitress, one of the few dumb enough to use heels at work. Appears tired, most likely heading to a second job. Motivation? Children, debt, only mother, bad choices, too many possibilities. If more then one guess right, why hasn't she taken her own life? Responsible Personality? One more person to add to Cassidy's data collection, and probably not any closer to finding any answers.

Like a picture from a movie, Khay stood beneath a street lamp. The light shimmered down on her brown hair, bathing her in innocent light. The little vampire, who appeared to be a mere seven years old, was holding hands with her female a ghoul. The woman was pretty. Young, brunette, and possessing the same storm blue eyes that Khay herself had. They could have been related.
The little girl was dressed in a pale blue and white dress with a matching bow in her hair. She was the picture of purity. The vampire gazed around with wide, curious eyes. How did she want to spend her night? What exciting bit of fun could she discover? Her gaze lingered on a man across the street from her. Kindred. She studied him as he studied others, memorizing his face.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of her. And why not? She had nothing better to do. Khay had yet to really meet anyone in the city and her mommy-ghoul was dull company. She had no personality! “I will be right back,” she told the woman, “Keep an eye out. Give him the signal if I am in danger.” And with that, the little girl crossed the street and walked towards the strange man.

Ziva moved in and out of traffic on her BMW motorcycle. She just felt like riding tonight so hear she was dressed head to toe in black leather accented with yellow. She was bored and was even considering torpor, though that would be boring too no doubt. There hadn’t been one interesting hit in a while. She had just taken out some DA who had been being a pain using the gun of a police officer he had just argued with. It was too easy. In and out then returning the gun to the officer before he even knew it was missing.
She pulled off in a parking space and went to look for a little something to eat. She saw a young woman who looked rather appetizing. She started to sneak up on the woman until she saw that she was holding the hand of a little girl. Ziva would never feed upon a child. She found the very concept repugnant. But her mother was a different story. It wasn’t until she was almost ready to make her move that she realized that the child…was a kindred. Ziva was truly appalled. What depraved kindred would sire a child. Steal away they innocence of youth. The woman had a heart beat so Ziva assumed she was a ghoul.
Ziva made not a single sound as she followed the little kindred and her ghoul, using obvuscate around her feet to obliterate the sound. When the young kindred left her ‘parent’ behind Ziva ‘almost rolled her eye’s. The child definitely needed to be taught how to behave. She looked as a child so wouldn’t be giving orders. She saw who the young kindred was heading to, thinking it may be the child’s thought of making a meal of the man until Ziva realized he to was a kindred. How odd for three kindred to meet in any place but one of the Elysium in the city Ziva came up behind the tiny kindred and whispered right in her ear--”hello little one”

Looking through the many people that roamed the streets, Cassidy began to use Auspex to get a look at the deeper picture behind the random faces. It didn't take long for his attention to meet with something that could be truly invaluable to his research. It came down to something that he had never seen before, and he felt like the poor beggar that just found a piece of gold in with the pennies. A vampire with the body of a mere child, looking no more then 7 years old. Transfixed on this new oddity, the rest of the world seemed to disappear around him.
Vampire, appears no more than 8 years old. Most likely not her choice in the matter. Reasons for being sired? Loneliness, want of a child, near inhuman cruelty? More relevant specimen then even one hundred of these kine. Maybe more then ten kindred. Need to investigate further.
Turning his whole body to the same direction that his perfectly symmetrical face was already intensely spying, he took note that she was heading towards him. So he would not be the only curious one of the two. Knowing that she would come to him, Cassidy made no attempt to bridge the gap. He just made a clearly unnatural smile, and wondered if she, as a vampire, was able to sense how inhuman he was, same as all the other humans that would not move closer then three feet from him.

Ludmila scowled as she left the bar. Okay, so she had been "asked to leave." Puny Americans, with their lightweight liquor limits.
"Looked like she'd had enough"? Hardly. There wasn't enough vodka in St. Petersburg to make her drunk--she was a vampire, after all.
So why had they kicked her out? Maybe they hadn't appreciated her Russian drinking songs.
Or the drinking contest she'd had with that kine, the one in the rank leather jacket that proclaimed him to be a "Hell's Angel." Whatever that was. Hell's Angel -- sounded like bad poetry.
He'd been a decent brawler, though, she thought, tugging a bit of broken glass out of her arm. She regretted having to leave before the fight could get interesting.
She looked around the street. There was some man in a suit, a little girl being a brat to her mother (what was a child doing out so late anyway?), a woman on a motorcycle. (A motorcycle--that looked like fun!), a man urinating in an alley, and two young kine reeking of pot and stumbling into an all-night McDonald's.
She sighed. America.

A noise in her ear nearly caused Khay to jump. Nearly. Instead she paused calmly and turned so that she could see both the man and the woman at the same time. The woman was kindred as well. Of course, Khay already knew that due to the fact that the woman had been able to sneak up on her like that. How interesting Khay would be meeting two of her kind all in the space of a few minutes.
In her peripheral vision, Khay could see the black car of her daddy-ghoul drive into her sight. Although she gave no visual sign of recognizing it, she mentally approved of her mother-ghoul’s decision to signal him close. If that woman had wanted to harm her, Khay would not have had a very easy time dodging. Not with how quiet the woman had been. Luckily, that had not been the case.
“Good evening,” Khay responded pleasantly, offering a sweet smile. She glanced towards the male and judged that he was now within hearing distance. “And to you as well.” Something about him was…not creepy, exactly, but distinctly foreboding. Khay noticed how the kine seemed to avoid him. They were the opposite with her. Many humans were attracted to Khay’s presence.

Ziva gaze's at the strnage kindred. He felt off. One of those who were not as human as most kindred. She noted how he looked at the tiny kindred as if she were a specimen. Ziva frowned. She was not liking this one. Not in the least. She took note of the little girls, 'parents' moveing into possition. Obviously ready to defend they're master. She whispered in Khay's ear again.
"I would advise against odering your ghouls around in public small one, they are your 'parents' after all." Ziva smiles at Fhay--"I am Ziva..might I ask your name"- Ziva took note of the ghoul's moveing into a beter position to guard their tiny mistress. SHe also took note of yet a third kindred. SHe couldnt tell the clan as with the other two, though for the male she would gues a Tzimitzie
"Might I sugest we go somewhere more secluded to talk....these kine might overhear, and you never know were a hunter might be"

“And to you as well." Who else is she talking to?
Without looking as though he even took his eyes from the child, Cassidy searched around her. It took him a second to register that there was another kindred so close. He knew that he could seem rude of not noticing a second person, but he could remedy that situation when it came up more. But now, for what kind of introduction he was willing to let any kine that would even think of paying attention listen to.
"Many good evenings to you, young one. May your every smile shine brighter then the sun, and warm the hearts of those around you." Pausing a little, Cassidy hoped to see a disarmed smile on the girls face.
He then took a step towards her, knelt down to be closer to her level, and finished his introduction.
"My name is Lennox Ranald, and it is with my greatest gratitude that I make your acquaintance." Lifting his hand at a perfect level for her to shake back, he thought on how entertaining this might look to others. A strange man in a suit entertaining a little girl.
My introduction to the young one seems done well enough. I hope my introduction to her Mother/Sire? can go just as well.

Khay tilted her head as the female vampire spoke. The advice was well meant and Khay appreciated. Perhaps she would be more careful in the future, though she had yet to have any problems. Most of the kine paid no notice. Those who did, just assumed she was a spoiled brat with spineless parents. Perhaps the people of New York were different? Khay had best learn the people here and be a little more cautious.
The suggestion of finding a more secluded place to talk was a welcomed one, although it made Khay a little nervous as well. She felt safer in public. Before she could respond, however, the male introduced himself...rather elaborately. Khay could not help but smile and a light giggle escaped her throat. She curtsied to them both. It was not a serious curtsy; more of a playful one.
“It is a pleasure to meet you both,” she told them brightly, “My name is Khayriyya, but you are welcome to call me Khay if it better pleases you.” She turned towards Ziva (what a pretty name!). “Your suggestion of finding a more secluded place is a good one. Do you have any suggestions?” After all, Khay had no idea where anything was. Other than her own haven, of course.

ZIva rose, and eye'd the male who named himself as Lennox. He wasnt an unatractive male, but she had long sense lost all intrest in such persuits. The closest she came to it was the 'intimacy she shared with her ghoul Sarah wich as little more that her ghoul takeing of her blood. Her ghould still had desires and Ziva dotted on her.
Ziva was well known among th kindred of the city, she may not be a primogen but she held similiar sway over the assamites of NYC. If for no other reason than she is powerfull and deadly--"charmed I'm sure"--ZIva states in a aloof manor. She redirected her attention to the child, smiling again. It is not the typical false smile most see of her. It is a true smile.
"There is a small park not far from here, there will be people there..you need not worry. If I had intended you harm, it would have already befallen you"--she holds her hand out to Khay--"by the way, that is a lovely name you have Khayriyya."
Ziva leads the way to the park, she is certain that the girls ghouls are following Khay might not need them much longer if she is agreeable with what Ziva is going to sugest.

The woman’s smile was nice. It was…real. Khay did not sense danger from the woman.
“…If I had intended you harm, it would have already befallen you.”
Those words sent a child down Khay’s spine. Mostly because she knew it was true. That woman had managed to sneak up on Khay. It was difficult to sneak up on her most times. Unless she was entranced by something. Shiny objects, pretty music…But the only thing that had been in her sights was a fellow vampire. The woman could have hurt Khay at that point. It was not something Khay wanted to think much about. Next time, she would be more careful.
Khay took the woman’s offered hand. It was cold, of course, but Khay liked the contact. “Thank you, Ziva,” the little vampire responded to the compliment regarding her name, “I am rather fond of it myself.” It reminded Khay of her family. She missed them. It occurred to her that something about Ziva reminded her of her mother, if only vaguely. Something about her voice.
The black car trailed behind them as they walked towards the park, though it was difficult to notice. The female ghoul was much more obvious. She trailed along, looking more like Khay’s big sister than a mother now that Khay was holding Ziva’s hand instead.
