Greetings kozeph here, 18 year old been a plating video games for as long as I can remenber pc mostly. New to Pen and paper games (a few weeks) only played D&D and heres hoping I can walk in the shadows of new york (BWHAHAHA) I only know of world of darkness from playing both games masquerade and bloodlines so im not a TOTAL noob to the setting

here is hoping to get along with everyone, im usually a friendly person, my characters tend to grow as I continue playing so I might start as a bloodthristy vampire on the verge of loosing it and about the end he might become a pacifist trying to preserve and unmake the mistakes he did in his past.

few questions
what books would I need to play? or other suplements(dices,munchies ect)

what races/clans may I use? only the standard clans(bruja, gangrel ect ect) or are other citizens of the dark avaible? ku jin, werewolfs, wraiths, mages, vampire hunters?

any especial recomendations and advice would impart to me would be most welcome

do I have to make a background for my character?

Hey there, read the rules and then pay a visit to the Maps, Clan & Lore section of the forum.. you can basically play anything except for a mage as of the moment

and yes, a full character profile is required to roleplay with said character

what race and/or clan would you recommend for some new to the game?

if by any chance I chosed to play a wraith where would I post his character profile for you to read

i hadn't actually thought a bout a wraith heh, might have to look into it. For the normal player, it some times best of to start as a vampire as tey are fairly easier to play and there is a lot more information around pertaining to them.
