"Ah, Annika, I see you got my summons."
He kissed her hand lightly as he did for all proper females he met.
"Yes, I will be going to see the 'ruler' of the city" he stifled a chuckle
He knew she would understand the joke, having been only a fraction of the age of her master, she still had seen the rise and fall of great empires...the soviet union being the most recent...and shared her master's humor when people thought that they were great because they had come to the top of the food chain. Serpentis knew their stay there would be short lived...it always was.
"So please, keep these people company for me....and buy them whatever they like. Its far past time for my network of contacts to start growing..."
he stopped and patted her head softly
"Not that you haven't done quite well, my pet" he crooned.
He turned to Ziva and smiled an oily slick smile of a quality that only a Setite could use.
"I will go and say hello to your master. Should you require anything, my pet here knows how to contact me. I shall return!"
he said as he walked through the crowd, ablaze with Presence as they parted and started cheering. He flicked a wad of cash, that he had taken from his pet's survival kit that she brought him, into the air scattering twenties everywhere.
"Serpentis is the name, and dreams are my game." he said in a low, grim voice to all the people in the crowd.
He turned and left the club with a flourish, walking out the door into the night and promptly flying away into the night storm in a cloud of pure darkness.

As to Ziva's request of a job, Amar responded with curiosity. "Ah, you have a job for one such as myself? It must be important if you are unable to do the job yourself... or maybe the opposite is true, and you can't be bothered to do it yourself. Whatever the case, I've got the skills you need; I'm the man for the job. You let me know who your problem is and I guarantee that person won't be a problem to you any longer," he said with a sly grin. He made an effort to sell himself well, as he was now in the presence of 3 lovely ladies.
Amar was quite shocked at the man in the suit's grand exit after Amar had given his response to Ziva. Was he really so rich that he was able to throw away money to get attention? What good does money do one. You only need enough to get by; having that much is wasteful, Amar thought to himself. On the other hand, perhaps Serpentis knew this as well, as that was why he was so able to part with his money for no reason. He was either very intelligent or very foolish. At any rate, he was now in the company of just the 3 beauties, and this was most certainly not a problem for Amar. He made extra sure that his collar was straight and his hair was fixed and all that jazz as he awaited the details of the job offering.

Ziva smiled at the young Assamite.--"First off, those that work for me usualy fill two positions, one here at my club, another is...'cleaning'. Those of our clan whom you incountered earlier work for me occasionaly, but not all the time. But I am always looking for new blood so to speak."
Ziva turned her attention to the ghoul, and became somewhat annoyed at the ghouls arogance to come to this area uninvited, she glared at Mike who was still fumbling with the umbrila. It soon became full annoyance as the ghoul aproached and ignored her entirely. This was her domain, and to be treated as a lesser especialy by a ghoul, one not even her own, annoyed her greatly. That and Serpentis' arogant maners, and flamboyant attitude.
When he threw the wad of manoey she had had enough, she mage a cutting motion to the bouncers, meaning to clear out the bar of all kine. It didnt take long for the four bouncers begin clearing the room. She turned rather unfriendly eyes on the ghoul infront of her.
"Despite what your master may have sugested, I need not your charity. This is my domain. Furthermore the Prince is not my master. He is my emloyer...I am an Assamite 'Annika' I be lieve your name was. I am Ziva Mohaned, now if you wish to enjoy some of the eminaties of my club feel free...but inform your master that if he ever pulls such a stunt within my halls again..I will not be as forgiving as I am tonight"
Ziva noticed reaching a hand behind her back, and made a small motion with one hand to stall her drawing a blade.

Still smiling from the sensation of Serpentis’s touch (and the compliment that she had done “quite well”), Annike turned to face the female vampire. Oh, the vampire was glaring at her. How cute. Still, she decided to be more polite to the vampire now—her master had requested it, and if he wished to open negotiations with this kindred, then there had to be something worthwhile about her.
“I apologize for my abrupt entrance,” she began, as that was clearly vexing this Ziva Mohamed. “I can be somewhat single-minded when on a duty for my master.” There, show the proper ghoul obeisance—that always set kindred at ease.
“Also, I believe there may be a cultural misunderstanding here,” she added, making her voice small and tentative like a proper ghoul’s. “My master’s…’stunts’…stem from his Egyptian history, in which such flamboyant displays were more the norm. He was not suggesting that you needed charity—such giving of gifts was customary in ancient Egypt when one elder was host to another.” She shrugged with the proper humility. “Or such is my limited understanding—I am not Egyptian myself.
“Also, I appreciate the offer of your club’s hospitality. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about my master or pass on any messages, if you wish.”
With that, she gave a slight curtsy, and waited for the vampire’s response.

Amar replied to Ziva's offer while trying to avert his gaze from the stray bills now lining the floor. "Well now, I'm afraid I won't be able to do all that you ask. You see, I'm currently enrolled in school, so with my extremely busy schedule and large amount of studying I have to do, I wouldn't be able to work at this fine establishment. I may, however, be able to help do a few jobs as a cleaner, in my limited amount of spare time."
As he said these words, Sarah piked up and interupted, "Ooooh, I didn't know you were in school. What are you studying?"
Amar responded to Sarah, "I'm a pre-med major," as he sported a large grin. He loved to show off to the ladies, "I'm going to be a doctor one day. But I digress, my apologizes. "
He looked back toward Ziva, "Should you find yourself in need of a cleanup, send a letter to this address." He passed Ziva a slip of notebook paper that had an address to his NYU on-campus address scratched on it. "I think you'll find this method agreeable, no?"

Ziva nodded in understanding to Annike..it was from a period before her time, but similiar things were done in her day. She studied Annike from head to toe. It is an apraising gaze. A gaze with a two fold purpose. One, sizeing her up, two she was an atractive women. She still didnt like this over arogant ghoul, but she was not hers to do with as she pleased...and there were several things she would be very pleased to do.
Turning back to Amar she lisented to his boast of being med student and frowned--"How...human of you"--. It was not an insulting tone but somewhat condencending. When he tried to give her a piece of paper she laughed openly--"Surely you jest...this isnt the middle ages...Sarah..be a dear and get him a burn phone"
Sarah curtsied to her mistress and went to retrieve the cell-phone. She returned with a plain cell phone and handed it to Ziva--"Thank you dear one"--Ziva then turned her gaze back to Amar--"If I need you I will call you..make no other calls on this phone...I call you, you 'do not' call me. If you call someone else on this phone, or call me...I will not be pleased. I would advise against it. If you wish to know why, ask your fellow clan memebers why I am called 'Saya Aakhri'(Last Shadow)
She turned to the ghoul server and motioned him over--"more wine...the 5 year old blue blood should do nicely..thank you Jeeves"--The elder looking ghoul bowed once before going.--"Is there anything I can provide for you??...it will ofcourse, be on the house"

Annike smiled sweetly at the vampire's probing gaze. She was not intimidated by the average vampire--though perhaps this one was not as average as she first seemed, given Serpentis's attention to her.
She then turned her attention to the boyish male vampire. Perhaps he too was worthy of notice.
"My name is Annike," she told him. "And if you desire any additional work as a cleaner, please contact my master, Serpentis." She smiled more sensually at this one, producing a business card from her purse. The card was elegant in its simplicity, just a globe encircled by a serpent eating its own tail. An ouroboros, an ancient symbol of wisdom. On the back was a toll-free phone number.
Without waiting for his response, she said: "It was a pleasure meeting you both. Now, if you don't mind, I am going to sample the beverages." And with that, she turned and strode to the bar, making especially sure that the male vampire got a good view of her curves.

Amar took the phone from Kiala and the card from Annike and stuffed them into his pockets. Luckily he only carries his wallet, so he had room for them. He watched Annike depart over toward the bar and suddenly remembered that he was the one who was supposed to be handing out his "business cards", not the other way around. After all, he already was on one case, and the main reason for doing jobs for other important people is to acquire favors or friendships, not for extra cash on the side. He had let himself become too distracted, but he wasn't complaining that the distractions were present. He thought to himself that maybe he should also create his own more professional looking cards, too and not just scrawl his address on some loose leaf paper. Times have changed, people just don't like using the postal services anymore.
He gave a short wave to Annike as she left the table and then turned his attention back toward Ziva after giving a few stray glances. He polity thanked her for her business considerations before excusing himself from the table. It was getting a little late, and he was not planning on spending the entire night at the bar. "I should be going now. I'll let you attend to the other customers here tonight, I'm sure you're a busy woman, and the night is still young. I wish you good fortune in your endeavors." he said as he headed toward the exit with Sarah closely following.
In the back of his mind, he thought to himself how he wished he could have made a grand an exit as Serpentis. But alas, his mission is to blend into the crowd, and such antics would be too risky, albeit quite fun. Having fun is how Amar has managed to keep his happy-go-lucky party lifestyle, even with the fact of being an undead. As long as he kept himself entertained, he didn't see anything wrong with being a vampire. The rest of the night showed promise of being quite fun, and he left The Edge on these thoughts.
